Happy Sunday everyone!! :-) I feel so energized this morning especially after today's sermon. I even invited my roomie and her homie who's here for third block summer training so that made my Sunday routine extra better! I hope everyone is having a swell weekend as we prep for the new month! Can you believe fall semester is already around the corner!?? Time sure flies!
Anywhosies, this morning I decided to blog about the delectable elotes I made earlier this week for kicks and giggles really. The apartment complex we live at has these communal grills near the pool area and I've been dying to try them out! So what better way to test out my grilling skills for the first time ever actually with these super tasty yet super simple elotes!! I'm so excited for you guys and truly hope you take the time to incorporate these into your next meal very, very soon :-))
Also quick funny story--at least I think it's funny hahaha--I remember the first time I read aloud elotes was at Ocean Beach's farmers market (every Wednesday from 2-7pm if my mind serves me right!) with my homies Yari, the Twinkies--Brandi & Brenda, Nik Nik, and Des a.k.a. squad. I pronounced it exactly how you would read it--"e-loats" which made Yari look at me real funny and correct me with the proper way, "e-lo-tehs". Lesson learned hahaha anyway, onto the recipe :-)
